Volunteer

With the disconnect that we face as both individuals and as parents, it becomes seemingly more difficult to connect with one’s own child. By getting involved you not only provide a memorable experience that will be a landmark on your child’s Islamic journey but a landmark in yours as well. Remember that not everyone can do the same job the same way. That’s why some people grow food, and others cook them. But don’t let that stop you from trying out volunteering for yourself. It is an opportunity to help and be a part of a different side of your child’s life. Don’t let reluctance stop you from trying something new. If you do feel unsure, be sure to ask your child’s teacher or email us. Finally… Take small steps. Don’t expect to take on huge responsibility once staring out. Part of being helpful is knowing how much you can help. It’s amazing for people to go out of their way, but don’t overburden yourself because of it. Ask. If you have difficulty with something, don’t be afraid to talk. Otherwise, how will you get the answer?

We understand that it was a lot of information coming all at you at once, but don’t feel overwhelmed, because your intention is to help, and that already goes a long way in our books. Be sure to ask your questions and see if the time works for you. We hope to see you at the Ark institute! Please use the form below to sign up!
